The Coorg Health Foundation (CHF) was founded to organize the social health network in Coorg and its neighboring districts since the health structure was dismal and needed to be addressed immediately. The NGO has surged forward in providing health care services at the doorstep on a war footing.
Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences (CIDS), a sister concern of the Coorg Health Foundation is the service provider for all the NGO’s community service and social commitments. Founded in the year1999 with a vision to provide dental, maxillo & craniofacial health care services to society, CIDS has come a long way in giving a humanitarian face to technical excellence.
Equipped with over 250 dental chairs with all the modern gadgets and a modern Operating Theatre, the institute provides comprehensive treatment solutions to all facial & dental esthetic problems.
It caters to over 200 patients a day from the many centers sponsored by the foundation in the district of Coorg providing quality care free of cost for the financially challenged. |

The most common deformities encountered are the cleft lip and palate. Primary and secondary surgical correction of these deformities is carried out by the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. |
